About The Lazyboy Company

Lazyboy is undoubtedly one of the leaders in the furniture industry today. Lazyboy or La-Z-Boy Incorporated is a Michigan-based furniture manufacturer specializing in providing furniture for every home. It markets a whole line of upholstered furniture which includes recliners, sofas, sleeper sofas, stationary chair, and similar types of residential furniture products.

Lazyboy had its humble beginnings in the city of Monroe in 1929 when cousins Edwin Shoemaker and Edward Knabusch invested in the furniture business. They sought to design a chair that provided what they called “nature’s way of relaxing.” From the first wood slat porch reclining chair, continued innovations were made to come up with the recliners and sofas we know today. It was in 1969 when Lazyboy started producing reclining sofas and sleeper sofas, and in 1983 when Lazyboy introduced its line of stationary sofas. For 80 years, it has served home owners and provided them with comfort and relaxation like no other brand can.

Today, Lazyboy holds domestic as well as international patents for over 200 different mechanisms and styles. It offers hundreds of choices to consumers, with varieties in style, fabric and function. To date, Lazyboy has thousands of retail residential outlets all over the Unites States and Canada included in their network of distributors. They offer more than 300 Lazyboy Furniture Galleries across North America, along with Comfort Studios in various independent furniture dealers. The Lazyboy brand is also distributed and manufacture under license in many countries worldwide including Germany, UK, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Turkey, New Zealand and South Africa. The company now employs over 11,000 people.

The company is divided into three operating segments, namely the Upholstery, Casegoods and the Retail Group. The Upholstery Group is responsible for the production and sales of upholstered furniture to dealers and stores including recliners, sofas, ottomans, love sears, chairs, and motion furniture. The Casegoods sell wood furniture including chairs, tables, dressers, headboards and entertainment pieces, while the Retail group is responsible for selling upholstered furniture to end consumer with the help of a vast network of retailers.

With every purchase of Lazyboy furniture comes warranty coverage, whose terms and conditions vary depending on the furniture or set purchased. It provides one of the best warranty conditions in the industry today, with most of its models covered by limited lifetime warranties. The customer service along with excellent product quality is among the top reasons why Lazyboy remains to be one of the top companies in the furniture industry.

Today, Lazyboy manufactures about 6,000 recliners, sofas, and chairs on a daily basis to meet its huge demand all over the world. It continues to be the leader in furniture innovations. It is expected to maintain its throne as an industry leader in the years to come.

I need several of the plastic clips that snap into the “swivel” of the footrest on our reclining sofa and chair.furniture These clips appear to engage the footrest, enabling it to drop into the concealed/locked position (front of the furniture) when at rest. Thank you
